W Fort Lauderdale Finishing Up For April 30 Opening

Ready for another W Hotels grand opening? They have been on a roll as of late, first debuting the W Hoboken last month and now prepping to reveal their first two Florida properties within several weeks of each other.

Due to finally debut (after a delay from a previously-announced April 2nd date) is the W Fort Lauderdale on April 30, with the W South Beach riding its hype coattails on June 2. Let's focus on the Fort Lauderdale property for now at least, as it's got a hefty size to it: weighing in at 346 hotel rooms and 171 condo-hotel apartments, this will be the largest W resort to date. As the first W in Florida, it will be bringing a few other firsts of its own to the scene, including the first Stephen Starr restaurant and whiskey bar in the state.

Thankfully, all signs point to "yes" for an on-time April 30 opening. Hotels.com is already taking reservations for that night, ringing up rooms at $289 — though rates appear to be coming down significantly to $215 in the middle of May. Not bad, especially since there wil be liquor flowing downstairs and a beach on which to bake outside. Count us in. Via: HotelChatter

Another Weekend, Another Pool Party Round-Up

Las Vegas seems to be ahead of the rest of the country in celebrating the arrival of summer and it gots nothing to do with the warm temperatures (in high 70s/low 80s.) Nope, it's all about the pool parties.

Marisa Miller kicked off The Mirage's 20th Anniversary celebrations over the weekend by hitting up the hotel's BARE pool on Friday in some daisy dukes. Meanwhile Carmen Electra celebrated her birthday with a pool party at Wet Republic at MGM Grand yesterday.

Just remember, when a celeb comes to "celebrate" anything in Vegas that usually means a red carpet walk, TV interviews, and plenty of staged photo ops. Whatever happened to just listening to a cover band poolside circa 2004?

Also on the pool scene was Twitterer VegasBill who was seemingly at every pool party yesterday and Twitpic'd all that he saw including not only Wet Republic but also Rehab at the Hard Rock and the Luxor's empty swimming pool. Did Criss Angel spike the water?

And we can't forget that Britney Spears was also in town this weekend lip-synching her heart out to the crowd at the MGM Grand Arena. She didn't partake in any pool parties but she was staying at her old friend George Maloof's place, The Palms.

Up next weekend, the 2008 Playboy Playmates will descend on The Palms on Friday to kick off their Ditch Fridays pool party at noon. Wow, Vegas can't even wait until the 5pm quittin' time whistle to kick things off. That's kind of why we love this town.

Got your own pics from Vegas Pool Parties? Drop them in the VegasChatter Flickr Pool. It's less painful than the hungover plane ride home. We promise! by juliana

Make Room for the New Jet Set in St Tropez This Summer

St. Tropez has historically been the summer playground of the old monied Jet Set. Not any longer. The New Jet Set have arrived. The difference between the two classes of Jet Setters on the surface may seem indistinguishable, but make no mistake they are very different. One is concerned with making a bunch of cash and the other is concerned with creating an income that is automated, scalable and location independent.

The Old Jet Set

The old Jet Set model has been primarily based around amassing a bunch of cash either through inheritence or a lifetime of hard work. Good old hard work and savings will produce cash, yes, but it has its price. This deferred living model is flawed for many reasons. The most evident of which is the state of our current economic crisis. Fortunes are being lost over night and in many cases won't ever be realized again. Now, compare that to how the New Jet Set have things set up.

The New Jet Set

The New Jet Set is "A subculture of people who choose to live their life now, instead of deferring their dreams to later in life. They have learned to leverage technology to create income, time and freedom......". That's it. Right there. "They learned to leverage technology to create income, time and freedom."

Leverage Technology and Create Income, Time and Freedom

We are in a new world. We have CNN and Ashton Kutcher fighting it out for the top spot on Twitter. Newspaper companies dropping like flys and grandma's turning to Facebook to connect with their peeps. We can't look to the future using a rear view mirror any longer. Things are changed forever. The information age isn't coming - it's here. It's time to leverage that technology, harness it and bend it to our favor. The old model is d-e-a-d. Here's something to consider. Last night Kim and I were watching a 60 minutes report about the 401k collapse. So many sad stories about peoples life savings gone, or almost gone, in the span of just a few short years. Kim pointed out (brilliantly) that if all those nice folks had spent equal time in creating their muses as they did funding their 401k's they would have a monthly income to access now. No judgement here. I really feel horrible for these families. I'm not sayin' I'm just sayin'. What we're really talking about is not focusing on the big pile of cash at the end of the rainbow, the defered life plan, but rather income now and savings second. In NO way am I saying don't save. That's stupid. I'm saying work on creating income that is scalable, automatable and location independent FIRST!

Two Ways to Get to the Same Beach

Let's get back to where I'm most comfortable. The beach. The same sexy beaches of the French Rivera will have two different people on it. The ones who have stepped into this wonderful new world of leveragable, scalable, technology driven income and those who haven't figured it out. Save yourself the headache and the drama and get to work on figuring out how to create this for yourself.

If you already have your muse in place and will be in St. Tropez over the summer send us a Tweet here. Try not to loose your shirt in these crazy economic times unless of course you're in St. Tropez - then that would be a good thing :)

The Graceful Glamour Of Monaco

Via: David H. Urmann

Monaco is a small yet very rich country. It is known worldwide for its prestige and sophistication. From the life of royal Grimaldi family to Monte Carlo Casino to interesting destinations and attractions, Monaco just never ceases to engross visitors.

Monaco is deemed as one of the most impressive and sophisticated countries. With Monte Carlo as its capital, Monaco is the second smallest nation in the world, next to Vatican. This 1.9 square kilometer country has been an emblem of prestige and glamour. The official language is French. The populace is made up of a hundred plus different nationalities. The children are obliged to learn French in school.

The elegance of Monaco was enhanced all the more by the wedding of Prince Rainier III and American actress Grace Kelly in 1956. The lovely actress met the bachelor prince when she was in Cannes to promote her movie. To Catch a Thief. Their marriage blessed them with children Caroline, Albert and Stephanie. A car accident on a fateful day in 1982 on a Monaco cliff took the life of Princess Grace and injured Stephanie. Her people still grieve over her death to this day.

Monaco is a sanctuary to casino lovers and fashion aficionados. It is celebrated for quite a few things. First, it celebrates the dazzling life of the Grimaldis, the fascinating royal family. Second is the Formula One cars bellowing through the manicured streets during the Grand Prix. This is a customary race that produces more visitors and money. And third, the Monte Carlo casino. In recent times, the country has gained handsome revenue by developing into an economic delight, and a gambling seat with the establishment of the internationally eminent Monte Carlo Casino in 19th century.

Monaco roads are tidy, well designed and constructed. These, together with luxuriant parks and classy palaces are highly safe mainly because to the attendance of efficient police and patrollers as well as CCTV cameras. Also, the French Riviera, the Mediterraneans coastline of Frances southeastern part is one great reason to come and experience the elegance and splendor of Monaco.

The locality of Monte Carlo is regarded as the countrys most well-off district and is mainly distinguished for its exciting ambiance. Its glamour and popularity appeals to the rich and famous who in turn magnetize everyday travelers to Monte Carlo. This rocky peninsula lies to the north of the Port of Monaco. The roads of the district's most lofty portion are crammed with companies and stores. These include the Radio/Television Monte-Carlo headquarters, Boulevard Princesse Charlotte, and the Boulevard des Moulins. These are joined by the Avenue de la Costa that showcases a lot of luxury shops.

Monaco faithfully keeps its independence too. Even Charles de Gaulle himself, French general and leader wasnt able to compel the departed Prince Rainier to eradicate his tax-free law. Almost all of Monacos income emanates from tourism and casino as the Monegasques do not pay taxes.

Monaco brings you many interesting attractions. Take a trip to Les Spelugues, a significant complex of the Congress Center that consists of 100 apartments and Loews Hotel with 636 rooms. Or be amazed at the Oceanographic Museum, the countrys most visited museum hovering spectacularly on Monaco Villes cliff-top. It features a marvelous panorama over the sea as well as showcases myriads of fine-looking fish species in its aquariums. Plus, taking an expedition in a helicopter will have you witness the marina that accommodates private yachts and vessels.

While indeed a wealthy region, visiting it does not entail spending a fortune. Travelers can lodge at budget hostels. In Monaco you can spend some pleasant days and being the country so tiny, even a one-day tour may be highly fascinating.

Broke? You Can Still Afford Bottle Service At O'Shea's

Gambling got the best of you and now you’re on the down and outs? Well, that’s what you get for coming to Vegas. However, if going all in didn’t go your way at all, you can still afford bottle service. This is not a joke. Just…uh…don’t expect anything fancy.

O’Shea’s Casino, sandwiched between the Flamingo and the Imperial Palace, has bottle service without all the bells and whistles – ie: no cushy tables, no two bottle minimums and no scantily-dressed servers pouring your drinks for you. For just $45, choose either a 750 ml bottle of Smirnoff vodka or Jack Daniels and a mixer of your choice.

Called the Brown Bag Special, you’re not paying for all the trimmings and extras that come with the bottle at other fancy schmancy clubs, just the alcohol. So if you have a table at the bar inside O’Shea’s (nothing fancy, just first come first serve, and sometimes they’re used for playing beer pong) and want to take it to the next level or just want to get liquored up, the Brown Bag Special is a great investment.

Just try not to blow your savings on the roulette table after you finish your bottle. It will sound like a good idea then, but we can assure you it's not.

The Beauty of Pattaya

Varied scenery, distinct architecture, cuisine that is second to none – it is hardly surprising that the Tourism Authority of Thailand report more than 13million tourists visited Thailand in 2005. The beauty of the landscapes, the friendly people and the large sweep of Pattaya beach all become ingredients for a delightful holiday. The beaches are pristine, the sea clear and blue and delightfully warm. Many tourists are Thai nationals: with Bangkok only two and a half hours away from Pattaya, this is their nearest beach. Unfortunately, Pattaya’s reputation is leftover from the days when the US servicemen frequented Pattaya’s bar district and, to a certain extent, this reputation has been built on amongst the rows of all-night bars and nightclubs, although the government is now attempting to take control of the situation and place a curfew on the opening hours of Pattaya’s nightlife.

There are many exquisite hotels to choose from in Pattaya, many of the best hotels situated in locations away from the raucous nightlife. An ideal hotel for families and for those whose idea of a holiday is a bit of peace and quiet, the Horseshoe Point Resort and Club is just a short 10-minute drive from the Jomtien Beach. There is also the Ocean Marina Yacht Club Hotel which is close to Jomtien Beach, with all rooms having a panoramic view of the sea or the marina. Royal Cliff Beach Hotel is set in 64 acres of verdant parks and features a number of leisure facilities to entice you to remain in the hotel grounds. South Pattaya also has its share of excellent hotel facilities, with the Royal Wing and Spa Hotel perched on a headland overlooking the sea, many luxurious guest rooms and a unique cliff top spa. Another comfortable hotel is the Sheraton Pattaya Resort which features guest rooms to a particular comfortable and high standard.

One tourist attraction which is an absolute must is a visit to one of the limestone islands about 7 kilometers from Pattaya’s shore. Apart from the beauty of its beaches and its clear water, there are some exquisite coral formations which can be viewed by visitors from a glass-bottomed boat or, if diving is your thing, dive amongst the coral reefs and view the amazing abundance of coral and fish which make this reef their home. For visitors who want to get more adventure out of their trip to Pattaya, there is also para-sailing, water scooter riding, water-skiing, and parascending amongst other activities, in fact, there are activities to suit everybody.

Cheap Holiday Deals in Talamanca - Perfect Among Travelers to Ibiza Town

Via: Jessica Nielson

It is undeniable that Ibiza is the home of the legendary night clubs in the world. In fact, these night clubs are the main reason why Ibiza is a popular Balearic Island and this popularity even reaches to the ends of the globe. For this reason, it is almost impossible for you to book on an apartment or hotel inside the town especially during summer. Talamanca is an alternative for your accommodation. It is just near the walls of the city. However, it is also good to know that Ibiza is not only limited to their nightlife. The Island also offers magnificent beaches packed with bountiful marine life and extreme aquatic sports which is perfect for family outings or holidays.

Another important thing to know is that Talamanca is also a strategic place to stay in Ibiza since it is a home to the closest beaches in Ibiza. For this reason, this is considered as the best place to stay, aside from the main town. By its location, you could fully enjoy and worship the gods of discos and have an accessible place to stay under the sun.

Talamanca is not only limited to young individuals around 18 years old to 30 who would want to seek excitement and fun on their night life. It is actually a place for every age groups and families. It is close to perfection when it comes to accommodation. Once you chose Talamanca to be your next travel destination, then it would surely put you in a perfect position and to explore the island. Ferries are also available daily. It leaves Ibiza harbor early in the morning. These ferries will send you to the perfect place for dining, entertainment and shopping during daytime and be back in time during the afternoon for you to never miss a night in the town. Never forget to miss a single day exploring the beauties of this island for this is a complete treat for your holiday getaway.

Make sure to plan an exploration inland aside from your ferry rides. Remember that the island's beaches are also magnificent. It is an incredible incentive for you to enjoy the day under the sun on their rich beaches. The island is also rich in scenery, history and wonders so never be blinded from the night life that they are offering. You might miss the real deals on daylight. It would surely be a shame if you miss out the magnificent scenery of the island because you are too focused on its night life.

I would like to stress out that the beaches around Talamanca are ideal for snorkeling and swimming together with your families. Most of their beaches are disregarded by other tourists since they are too focused on its night life making the area not too crowded, and ideal place to lookout for your children. This is also a complete treat since there are parks that would surely entertain your little ones. These parks also have affordable dining options for the entire family.

Helicopters, Jet Skis, And Ibiza Can't Slow Down Bridget

Thursday (well, Friday now) has arrived, and we're off to another location with Bridget Marquardt and her crew of global crusaders. Too bad once again we are alone on the couch, wishing that we were right along side her on the shores of Spain.

Our host is again going it alone in her exploration missions—no outsiders trying to steal the show from her like last week. She meets up with locals one way or another to enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of Spain.

Like any good beach bum Bridget immediately heads right to the beach after arriving in Barcelona. The city has its share of great shoreline stops, but Bridget chooses the popular Nova Icariai to check out the local scene. We get a nice shot of some older gentleman’s rear, but then we watch Bridget play volleyball with some locals so it’s all good. Too bad she didn’t remember any of the tips she got from the pros on Turks and Caicos.

She’s over the sand and sun soon enough, and heads into Barcelona proper. After a passing shot of a rack filled with two wheelers ready for bike sharing, she meets up with a local lass for a tour of the city from the seat of a scooter. and the two ladies are off to head around the city. No stops for shopping this time, but they do see some of the city’s great architecture—and also some of the less great—like the Torre Agbar aka Penis Tower.

Back on her feet Bridget meets up with a chef to tour the La Boqueria market. Here she does her best impression of another Travel Channel show when she dives into some local delicacies. Unlike Andrew Zimmern she only looks at the brains here, but she does take a tasty bite of some tapas-sized snails.

Of course a show about sexy beaches is not complete without a trip to Ibiza. Our lady host heads out to sea aboard a jet ski off the shores of Cala Martina Beach, and is soon behind the wheel, er, controls. However, she wants a little more excitement, and soon finds herself behind the watercraft trying to wakeboard. After many failed attempts and funny sound effects, Bridget does it—and then crashes again. She tried, she smiled the whole way, and it was entertaining—mission accomplished as far as we’re concerned.

This week’s show ends with Bridget—clad in a lovely purple one piece outfit—meeting up with a gal pal to take in the nightlife of Ibiza, and of course, it looks pretty much out of control. That's what you expect from a night out in Ibiza. The next day Bridget refuels at a local bakery and chats up some cuties from Lithuania who share some words of wisdom—what happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza. They’d been partying throughout the night and were still rocking their evening attire.

We’re left with Bridget saying see-you later to her bikini top for a Euro beach stroll, but we’re left hanging until next week’s episode when she'll hula her way through Hawaii—the TiVo has been set. Via: kjb - Jaunted [Photo: Travel Channel]

Mallorca and its Varied Coastline

Via: Maria Hepple

Pure, unadulterated beaches are what the southern coastline of Mallorca is all about. Here are several sandy beach areas that cater for the majority of the tourists that come to the island to enjoy the endless hours of sunshine. {Move further west and you willl find the younger resorts of Palmanova and Magaluf, popular resorts for younger people where gently sloping sandy beaches are surrounded by cafes and various restaurants and, in the evening, thriving nightclubs and bars. Similar beaches can be found on the opposite side of Palma where the the bay of Arenal provides a home to hundreds of hotels that enjoy a prime location opposite a perfect sandy beach.

A similar beach resort can also be found in the North of the island where the custom built resort of Alcudia is joined to the town of Can Picafort by another sweeping bay of perfect sandy beach. Alcudia also has a upmarket marina area where a small selection of restaurants and a bewidering array of huge yachts provide something to look at as you stroll along the promenade. For the ultimate in promenades Puerte Pollensa along the coast has a wide, two mile footpath alongside its sandy beach.

More dramatic coastlines can be found near there are the towns of Soller, Deia and Valldemossa. These towns link to each other on the west coast along a steep cliff-lined stretch where beaches are few and far between, with the sea almost inaccessible except by water. As you might expect, the location provides some amazing views. The port at Soller is home to several cruise companies, some of which head south along the eastern coast and others which head north, travelling for a stop-off point at sa Colobra. The small harbour here can be reached either by boat or along a steep 5 mile road that climbs out of the bay back up to the main road that crosses the peaks of the Tramuntana mountains. Switch across to the east coast and you will find a mix of coastal resorts to satisfy all tastes.

Midway along the coast is the famous resort of Portocristo, which, as you enter the town, appears to be a semi-rural town supporting a mix of light industry. However that perception alters as you stumble across the jewel in this town's crown, a fantastic waterfront and harbour area providing a home to an array of luxury yachts and cruisers. You could be forgiven for thinking you had arrived somewhere on the Cote d'Azur as you stroll past what looks like a thriving cafe culture. It is only a small resort but possesses a unique charm that only a few places in the world can offer. Further up the coast from Portocristo and quieter beach resorts like Cala Morlanda and Cala Millor can be found. These are perfect family holiday areas providing less in the way of commercial attractions but are perfect for family groups who are happy to spend their days on the beach and in the sea.

New resorts are still being developed on Mallorca and one such place is the marina and beach at Colonia de Sant Pere. There is still plenty of scope for further development here with building works scattered across the hillsides putting up new villas. The marina is fully operational already and is home to a selection of fishing boats and yachts while the small beach is man-made and is carefully re-instated at the start of each season. This is a really relaxing place and perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful and stress-free holiday. The town is however fairly remote and for people hoping to explore the rest of Majorca hiring a car would be a good idea.

Bed and Breakfast: A Viable Option to the Hotel and Motel

Via: Rolf Joho

Do you ever feel like you know just enough about bed and breakfast? Let's see if we can fill in some of the gaps with the latest info from bed and breakfast experts.

Though it is quite normal to spend your time in a different city or country in the comfort of a hotel or in some instances, in a motel, there is a lot to say in favor of staying in a bed and breakfast. A bed and breakfast is really an establishment that usually lets out some few rooms to people that wish to savor a more homely atmosphere and who need accommodations that is also not too costly. As can be implied by the name, bed and breakfast means getting to rent out a room and also be served with at least breakfast if not other meals.

British By Origin
Now that we've covered those aspects of bed and breakfast, let's turn to some of the other factors that need to be considered.

The term 'bed and breakfast' is actually British by origin and it was in that part of the world that this kind of accommodation was first made popular before being adopted by countries in different parts of the world. This popularity has led to allowing people that visit different countries get a chance to choose to stay at bed and breakfast and so sample firsthand the different cultures and cuisines and in a simple manner get more out of their stays.

There are no doubts the great amount of charm and quaintness that you will get to experience if you opt for a bed and breakfast stay and it is of course a very good alternative to living in the more commercially oriented accommodation options that are the norm in most cities and towns around the world. No doubt, a bed and breakfast cannot provide the same level of luxury that is normally available at the fancier hotels and even in some cases in motels. But, then this lack of luxury is more than compensated when you take into account the kind of hospitality and culture that you will get to experience at the bed and breakfast.

In the US, bed and breakfast establishments have begun to flourish and most of the ones that you get to stay in are really historical buildings that have been converted to provide authentic American experience in different states in the country. Some of the better known bed and breakfast establishments such as the Newport Blues Inn are truly worth staying in as they provide modernity, history and other excellent amenities as well. With fourteen different guest rooms, each renovated beautifully, this bed and breakfast establishment stands out from the run of mill similar accommodations and you also get to choose from rooms with private bathrooms as well as those that have queen or king-sized beds and even some that are deluxe or plain standard accommodations.

Sometimes it's tough to sort out all the details related to this subject, but I'm positive you'll have no trouble making sense of the information presented above.

The 411 on MGM's Wet Republic Pool Party

With nouvelle-Vegas institutions like Ditch Fridays at Palms and Rehab at the Hard Rock coming on the scene in the last couple of years, it’s no surprise that someone set out to own the poolside party scene with a dedicated, “daylife” atmosphere. After all, what nightclub-hopping Vegas vacationer doesn’t want to sleep off their hangover by baking in the hot, desert sun while dehydrating further courtesy of a frosty pitcher of watermelon mojitos? It’s an obvious win-win for all.

Enter Wet Republic, the eye-poppingly huge (53,000 square feet), adults-only pool complex at the MGM Grand., Open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, Wet Republic has two large saltwater pools as well as private dipping pools, cabanas, VIP bungalows and a 2,400-square-foot outdoor ultralounge/dance floor.

In addition to individual cocktails, bottle and pitcher service (for those who want their pre-mixed summer cocktails in bulk – Patron margaritas, anyone?), Wet Republic offers a menu that includes salads, iced seafood platters and finger foods (such as the omnipresent Kobe sliders), and promises you will be served by “gorgeous model servers.” We assume this means gorgeous men and women, yes? Oh. Right. Silly me. We hear there are male bartenders and "hosts," though, but no guarantee they’ll be modelesque.

The exclusive nature of the atmosphere is emphasized, and those willing to spring for a VIP bungalow will surely pay for features like a king-sized daybed, flat-screen TV and Blu-Ray/DVD player, fully stocked mini-fridge and Xbox 360. Wi-Fi is available throughout Wet Republic, presumably because this is exactly the sort of place people will be bringing their laptops so they can remote into the office.

Well, perhaps not. But MGM doesn’t like to be behind the technology curve so there you go. In any event, out-of-town fellas can rejoice in the fact that they’ll likely meet lots of local ladies (they get in free). All others pay a cover, which is subject to change based on the day of the week and which celebrity DJ is spinning. Charges to reserve day beds, cabanas, bungalows or adjustable chaise-lounges also vary. Online reservations can be made here.

Tips For Finding the Best Luxury Hotels

What defines quality when we talk about hotels? The prices surely distinguish a luxury hotel as they're usually quite expensive. But how can we make sure we're getting a good deal? Following I'm presenting a few aspects that seem to me crucial when we define a hotel as being a luxury one.

First and foremost you must be satisfied with the staff. If the staff is not welcoming enough and doesn't make you feel satisfied from the first moment I think you'd better try another hotel. The staff is the soul of the hotel. If they are smiling, opening the doors for you and asking about your wellbeing, then you're likely to feel welcome. If not, then you're likely to try another hotel.
Another extremely important aspect about a hotel, an aspect that separates luxury hotels from lower quality ones, is cleanliness. You're paying for a spotless room. Don't be satisfied with anything less. Even if the rooms are not designed according to the latest trends, they have to be nice and perfectly clean. Pay special attention to the beds and the bathroom; they should be spotless.

In my opinion you should look for special features that could make your staying at that hotel as pleasing as possible. Are bathroom floors heated? Do you get TV's embedded in the right place so you can enjoy watching news while you take a bath or shave? Is there a Jacuzzi? Etc.

For those people who do not have problem in paying extra and enjoying the luxury of quality hotels then these tips could really help you make the most of your next tour. After a hectic year of working hard in your 9 to five job you deserve to spend some time outside and away from your normal day to day routine just to keep your sanity.

Luxury travel tips could help you in planning of that perfect vacation that you have been dreaming off. However, if you closely observe you will find that not always you will be asked to pay a handsome amount to have a little fun. But if you go for discounted hotel deals or do some more online research then I am sure you could find a better option for a luxurious trip. What more is that you would not be spending like crazy for that trip.

What is also very important and significant is choosing the right destination for your next trip. It all depends on the mood and budget. Once you have that planned then next thing to make that trip worth remembering is to pick the right hotel.

If you're going to pay the price for a room in a luxury hotel then it better be a luxury one. It's best to search for online communities that share their experience and opinions about luxury hotels. This way you can make informed decisions and you won't have to constantly search for hotels that offer quality services and luxury rooms. Via: Dave Mathews

Goa: A Party Zoo For The Party Animals

Relaxed atmosphere, drinks, loud music and the unique Indo-Portuguese culture- this face of Goa makes it a perfect destination for partying. The state is on holiday throughout the year and its beaches form a major source of income for the state and the local people. Famous for its parties and night life, Goa is compatible with all the modern and developed parts of the country.

Origin Of These Parties
Goan parties reflect the colourful mosaic of history. Ever since the hippies made Goa their hangout zone (early 1960s), parties became an integral part of the state. They introduced 'Rave Parties' to Goan culture. These parties were known for loud music, drinks and drugs. Later the Government put some restrictions on drugs and the Rave parties were transformed to 'Trance Parties'. 'Trance' is the unique Goan music style developed by local music bands. Almost all the Goan parties are now called Trance parties.

The laws are liberal with alcohol and you can get a drink almost at any spot in the state. However, the Government is strict towards drunken driving, nudity and drugs. Almost all the restaurants have bars and night clubs. Goa is known for its relaxed lifestyle, refreshing weather and festive carnivals.

Popular Party Sites
Goa has several delightful places that are particularly meant for Trance parties. A few of them are Club Tito's (Baga Beach), Club Extreme (Miramar Road, Panaji), Club Cubana (Arpora Hills), Club Antoos (Calangute Beach), Bamboo Forest/Paradisio/Hill Top (Anjuna and Vagator area), etc.

Goa Casinos and Night Discos are always full of party lovers. Anjuna, the 'freak capital of the world' is famous for its night long trance parties. 'Rave Parties' were originated from Anjuna Beach only. Later these parties were introduced to the Calangute, Baga, Colva and Dauna Paula beaches as well. Via: Sanjog

Luxury Bunk Bed Hotels

The Pod Hotel Offers Cute Manhattan Rooms Under $100

NYC is a dream destination for many, but with these economically challenging times, traveling to the Big Apple just hasn’t been in the card for most people.

That could change, however, thanks to The Pod, a midtown Manhattan hotel that offers small space accommodation for a small budget.

Regularly, overnight travel to New York City’s most famous island costs a whopping $300 a night—that’s a heck of a lot for a night of glitz on the town, and with the credit crunch crashing down on travel budgets, both corporate and personal, it was only a matter of time before an innovative price alternative was discovered.

The Pod offers single beds for just $89 “and half that if you and a pal take advantage of the bunk beds,” Newser informs.

“The Pod is in midtown and offers luxury conveniences—flatscreen TVs and iPod docking stations—in compact rooms. For those looking to go even cheaper, Jane’s in Greenwich Village offers 5-by-7-foot singles for $75, and an atmosphere that testifies to its history as a hotel for sailors.”

So ladies and gents, for those looking for a New York fix this spring (count me in), here’s your chance to enjoy one of the most dazzling cities in the world on a dime! Via: HotHotelReviews

Amsterdam Makes Such a Great City Break

An Amsterdam city break really can appeal to anyone. No where else has such a satisfying mix of liberal madness and high-brow culture. It's quite incredible that despite all the potential for controversy, Amsterdam rarely attracts criticism and continues to appeal to people of all ages, and from all walks of life.

Amsterdam has got to be one of Europe's top city break holiday destinations, and to be honest there is so much going for it, it's hard to know where to start.

First is the ease of getting there. Schiphol Airport had been voted one of the finest in Europe and its high speed trains will whisk you the 14 km into the city centre every 15 minutes. Then there is the ease of getting around. Amsterdam has excellent tram and bus services, not to mention the canal cruises that take in all the cultural holiday hotspots as well as the beautiful byways

Above all Amsterdam city centre is physically small and relatively quiet, with many streets-traffic free and bicycles the transport of choice for most Amsterdammers. It's a great place to wander around and so easy to take in the top cultural sights - and what treasures there are. This is the home of both Rembrandt and Van Gogh - two giants of the art world, with museums dedicated to both. Opera, theatre, dance, street theatre - Amsterdam has it in buckets.

But high art is not all that's in the frame in this cosmopolitan bowl of multicultural delights. There's the infamous Red Light District where scantily clad girls parade for custom behind neon lit windows. And there are the notorious coffeeshops where cannabis is openly sold and smoked as customers sip their cappuccinos. There is street theatre in Dam Square, open air concerts in the huge city centre Vondeldpark and one of the best zoos in Western Europe.

And for those who like nothing better than to wander, Amsterdam is a weekend city break destination like no other. The quaintly gabled 17th and 18th century houses are a Dutch delight, as are the cosy rings of picturesque tree-lined canals than encircle the whole city with their cobbled canalside streets full of boutiques, curio shops and book stalls.

Amsterdam defies its northerly location with an alfresco street cafe society that cashes in on every glimpse of sun. Add a wide and varied ethnic mix and you have the recipe for an astonishing range of cuisine, with virtually every international taste catered for - from Thai to Turkish, Icelandic to Indonesian. Add a dash of Amsterdam's home grown speciality pancake restaurants that offer an endless choice of pizza-sized pancakes and omelettes and you are guaranteed some fabulous meals.

Enjoying Amsterdam city breaks has never been easier. There is a great choice of cheap flights to Amsterdam from most UK airports and a wide range of hotels from luxury to budget accommodation. You can even book a room at a floating hotel or a canal boat. Book online and open the gates to discount airfares and cheap flights plus many holiday hotel packages that offer cheap breaks in Amsterdam.

Lohan Returns to Business as Usual at Chateau Marmont

Whew. You had us all worried for a second there, Chateau Marmont. We thought things were dying down and cleaning up and that the celeb meltdown scene was moving — shockingly — over to the Sunset Tower, Roosevelt and even the Avalon. But no. Now LiLo's back on the scene to keep things celebby-scary at the Marmont.

According to Perez, the newly-single (or so we hear) Lindsay Lohan is back to her old antics at the Chateau:

Apparently, after her entry to Charlotte Ronson's fashion party at Bar Marmont was barred, LOLhan tried to crash another all-girl party at the hotel, where the Ronson's were at and she booked a room.

[...] After introducing herself and encouraging them all to party, the party patrons attempted to get rid of the train wreck, shoving her out the door. LOLhan banged on the door for a minute before getting the hint and crawling off somewhere.

Oy. Lindsay, we love you, won't you please listen to Jaunted and go on an awesome, relaxing vacay somewhere? Seriously, our sweet, caring brother picked out places for you and everything. Via: Jenna - HotelChatter

Zante Islands in Greece - Beaches, Climate, Nature

Via: Jessica Nielson

Zakynthos, in the English term is known as Zante. It is the Ionian Islands' third largest which covers for an area of about 406 kilometers squared. The shape of this island is like an uneven triangle, which the base is formed by Laganas bay, and the peak is formed by the Schinari Cape at the north of the island. Zante, as sometimes called, is located in the southern part of the largest islands in the Ionian Sea. It is particularly washed by the Ionian Sea and is particularly located at the north west of the Peloponnese. As for the island's climate, it has far more better condition than the other Ionian Islands since its average temperature is about 115C in wintertime and 270C in summer.

The island's west coasts are rough and steep with many bays and rocky beaches while on the east side, you can usually find its agricultural production. Due its mild climate and plentiful rainfall in winter, Zakynthos has dense vegetation. The island has principal products like currants, grapes, olive oil and citrus fruit. You can also find wild plants, vines and coniferous trees in the island.

When summer arrives, the sea lily blooms in Zakynthos. The scent is so magnificent that it explains the reason why people have named the island Fioro of Levante meaning, Flower of the East. Moreover, the island is also very rich in fauna. That is why caretta-caretta turtle usually comes in the sandy beaches of Lagana's bay of Gerakas as well as the other beaches to reproduce and hatch its eggs.

Also, the beaches in the island are popular for its crystal clear waters which are shallow and have sandy coasts. That is why beaches here are usually swarmed by tourists.

One of the popular beaches is located near Vassilikos. The beaches here are famed for its crystal waters and golden sands. The place can be found approximately 15 kilometers from Chora, which is the island's capital. The good thing when visiting to Vassilikos is that you can choose the beach of your liking. You may either visit the beaches of Mavratzi, Porto zoro, Porto Roma, Banana, Gerakas (which is known to be the best beach on the island as well as the main reproduction area of the caretta-caretta turtle), and the Agios Nikolaos. Yet, if you want to go to a beach where it is still untouched by growing tourism, you can always visit the Sekania and Dafni. To visit the said two untouched islands, you can go to Xirokastelo which is shortly before Vassilikos and follow the road leading there.

Another yet impressive beach can be found for about two kilometers away from chora, is the Laganas Bay. It has an impressive stretch of 9 kilometers sandy beach, fine sand, sand dunes and shallow waters. This bay as well as the neighboring beaches of Kalamaki and Agios Sostis has invited a lot of tourists during the summer. Furthermore, tourists can also visit yet another beautiful beach of Porto Koukla, Arkadanos, Limni Keriou and Tartarouga, which are located at the base of Marathias Cape.

Also, if you are a lover of savage beauty, you can always visit the west side of the island which is the place for magnificent beaches for swimming. When you are in the village of Agios Leon and after walking through its impressive wild landscape, you will most likely see the rocky voes of Limnionas and Roxa. With its cool, deep waters, the natural beauty of the scenery itself is truly majestic.

Moreover, to visit the most beautiful beaches of Greece, go to the beach of Navagio or shipwreck. This beach is known to be the ornament of the island and can be reached by taking a little boat from Porto Vromi.

Zakynthos is really an island full of beautiful beaches. You can always visit the organized beaches of the National Tourism Organization or the EOT and the place called Tsilivi, which is known for its beautiful sandy beach. The island also houses the beaches of Amoudi, Amboula and Alykes.

And when you follow the road to Orthonies, you can find the Xygia and Makry Gialos, which is famous for its deep waters and wonderful pebbled beach. You can also find the popular Galazi Spilea of the Blue Cave when you take a short boat ride from here.

In addition to this, you can also visit the organized beaches of the National Tourism Organization or EOT.
